10,000 m AC36V Strip for a South African Mine

An underground mine needed lighting that survives where ordinary fixtures fail. We delivered 10,000 m of sealed AC36V strip — safe low voltage, built to take tension, crushing, and impact.

A South African mining company needed to light its underground workings reliably — a brutal environment where water, dust, rock falls, and constant abrasion kill ordinary lighting, and where mine-safety rules demand a safe operating voltage.

We delivered 10,000 m of AC36V LED strip built for the conditions: extra-low-voltage AC36V operation for safety, a sealed waterproof body, and a high-tensile construction engineered to resist pulling, crushing, and impact. Long continuous runs cut the number of feed points, so the strip threads along the timbered shaft and back under the support netting with minimal hardware.

The result is steady, even illumination through the dark workings — a rugged lighting line that holds up to the severe demands of the mine.
